Multisites Coordination in Shared Multicast Trees

چکیده
The majority of today's Internet applications relies on point-to-point transmission. In recent years, however, multicast transmission has become the foundation for such applications as multiparty video conferencing, distributed interactive simulations, and collaborative systems. We describe a novel protocol to coordinate multipoint groupwork in the IP-multicast framework. The protocol supports Internet-wide coordination for large and highly-interactive groupwork, relying on transmission of coordination directives between group members across a shared end-to-end multicast tree. We also describe how addressing extensions to IP multicast can be put to use for our multisite coor-

Multicast computer network routing using genetic algorithm and ant colony
Due to the growth and development of computer networks, the importance of the routing topic has been increased. The importance of the use of multicast networks is not negligible nowadays. Many of multimedia programs need to use a communication link to send a packet from a sender to several receivers. To support such programs, there is a need to make an optimal multicast tree to indicate the opt...
متن کاملScalable multicasting with multiple shared trees in software defined networking
With Software Defined Networking (SDN), IP multicast becomes promising again. For IPTV applications over SDN, existing works would not scale well since they are based on per-source trees. As control-plane in SDN is logically centralized, constructing multiple shared trees is more feasible than that in traditional IP networks. Thus, in this work, we present a locality-aware multicast approach (L...
متن کاملMulti-shared-trees based multicast routing control protocol using anycast selection
A novel internet multicast routing protocol is presented to possess efficiency and effectiveness for multicast packet routing with short delay, high throughput, resource utilization and scalability for a single multicast group g. The protocol has two features: (1) Multiple Shared-Trees (MST) are configured to provide efficient, dynamic and quality multicast routing; (2) Anycasting approach is a...
متن کاملScalable IP Multicast Sender Access Control for Bi-directional Trees
Bi-directional shared tree is an efficient routing scheme for interactive multicast applications with multiple sources. Given the open-group IP multicast service model, it is important to perform sender access control so as to prevent group members from receiving irrelevant data, and also protect the multicast tree from various Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks. Compared with source specific tree...
